Funeral for our Beloved Jabril

Our brother Jabril Muhammad is on life support due to complications from a life-long battle with sickle cell. We, his family, are preparing to give Jabril a proper Muslim funeral service, as we continue to pray that Allah’s will be done and remain hopeful he will make a miraculous recovery.

We are of meager means and need help raising $4,500, as soon as possible, to pay for Jabril's funeral-related expenses.

If you knew Jabril, we’d also appreciate any kind notes about him.

ABOUT JABRIL: At 27, Jabril has achieved most of his life dreams. He made hajj to Mecca, went to China, and received his bachelor’s degree despite significant life challenges. A kind and gentle spirit, he’s the subject of two non-profit movies about his life - “Peace Process,” an anti-gang violence project featuring Jabril, Saul Williams, Aceyalone, and Stan Tookie Williams (Black Hollywood Education Resource Center) and “Put it in a Book”, starring Jabril, Kerry Washington, and Michael Ealy (Make a Film Foundation).
