Jade & Bruno’s Ohana have started this campaign to help pay for their expenses to visit and stay with their father during this difficult time. They are giving their devoted time to their father thus traveling and missing work. This is a financial strain on their lives; however, their father means the world to them and they would do anything.
On the evening of March 23, Butchie was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Modesto, California. He was complaining of headaches earlier in the morning. As he arrived at Modesto Kaiser Hospital, Butchie vitals were all over the place which he then had a seizure at the hospital. After hours of stabilization, Modesto Kaiser was able to sedate him and place him on a ventilator. That evening at Modesto Kaiser, the family was brought into a room to discuss his medical situation and process at this point, his children, Jade & Bruno had not seen their father since transported to ICU Modesto Kaiser as well as his siblings and nieces and nephews. He had to be flown to Sacramento ICU Kaiser Hospital to be prepped for neurosurgery. He had an aneurism and was bleeding in his brain that needed the specialty surgery.
In the frightening days that followed Butchie’s surgery, friends and Ohana come to visit. With each visit at ICU, Jade & Bruno has been right there by their dad’s side. Their love and support to their father’s recovery is visibly seen through their touch and emotions.
At this point, after his surgery, he remains in ICU, it’s unclear how much damage he's suffered, and the recovery process will be long, difficult, and uncertain. They have put him back on the ventilator because his CO2 levels were low that causes pressure on the brain.
We want to support Jade & Bruno through this and to give them every opportunity to be at their dad’s side to a full recovery. Any support is welcomed. We truly appreciate the kindness, love, prayers and support you've all shown Butchie...strangers, family, and friends. Thank you.
