Many children never have their special day recognized...it goes unnoticed and uncelebrated. At We Love Birthday Parties, our mission is simple:
Spreading love through the simple joy of birthday parties for children with limited opportunites.
Love changes lives! We see it everytime we celebrate someone!
One of the most cherished of all childhood memories is a birthday party. Maybe one in particular stands out as your favorite memory? Now can you imagine if your 5th birthday went by and no one noticed? Or your 9th, or 12th or 15th? How would you feel? Surprisingly, many children are feeling left out and forgotten on their special day--the day they entered this earth for a purpose.
Why? How? Because a growing number of parents are struggling to meet basic needs--and an alarming number of parents are dealing with violence, drug and alcohol addiction, loss of employment and/or the family is simply struggling to make ends meet. So kids get forgotten, or parents are unable to celebrate birthdays.
I began to recognize how special birthday memories are for my own children. We had elaborate parties sometimes! My heart broke for kids who had nothing on their special day.
You would be surprised at how much joy and heartfelt gratitude the simple act of acknowledging a child's birthday can bring. It's life-giving.
I wish you could see their humble smiles (or jumps of joy!) when they get to choose a present from the gift table, or hear the laughter as we play games, or witness the deep joy they feel as we sing and pray for each child.
We need funds now because we are growing so fast and we want to reach more children. Our team of party volunteers provides the whole party experience at established non-profit locations. These places already are providing other services for children, such as reading, homework support, positive role models and hot meals.
We will use your generous donation to purchase medium-priced gifts (toys, books, games, blankets, etc.), decorations for the parties, items for our games, healthy snacks and cupcakes. Also, each birthday child receives a giftbag full of simple necessary items, such as a new toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, self-care items, school supplies and fresh fruit.
