Australian Adventure

My name is Zion Fields and I am 11 year old. In the fall of 2014, I will be starting middle school at Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies. I am writing to you about a great opportunity. I have been selected to become a People to People Student Ambassador and I will travel to Australia in summer of 2015. I will join a delegation of students my age on a 20 day educational program that will take us on an Australian Adventure. I want to travel the World!

The curriculum will teach us about the history, culture and people of the region. After all, the best way to learn about other cultures is to experiences it firsthand. We will be led by teachers and engaged in a wide variety of culture encounters and adventures. We will have access to Sydney Australia famous Opera House, Explore Sydney harbor, and rappel down an exposed rock face. In Moreton Island we will study sea life with marine Biologist and snorkel with wonnergongs and hand feed wild dolphins. Thirdly, we will visit Cains, Australia in Discover the Great Barrier Reef! Lastly we will hurl spear with aboriginal people and much more. Needless to say, I am super excited to visit Australia. I am paying my way and raising money for the program. I have been collecting bottles, selling lemonade at my stand and reaching out to local businesses.
