Our Farmacy a Wellness Hobby Farm

Donation protected

I am worhty of this beautiful life and so are you

The Farmacy began as a new begining for our authentic passion for Mental Wellness, raising awareness and sharing our lives with those that desire to connect with Mother Nature, Animals, Art and Freedom of Fear.
We need your help with getting it all up and running so that the Animals get the best care and we can also sustain the ability to make this happen.

We came here to find a place from and the many other symptoms my  CPTSD and is described as a "Mental Illness"  I believe;  I am not mentally ill, I am mentally ill equipped to live in a world that does not help to create safety and awareness for those of us that live with trauma.  A trauma  that is best described as a psychological injury.

We heal differently, sometimes we don't heal at all and have to create lives that give us the calm , the security and the trust that we are safe from the invasions of flashbacks, anxiety attacks, panic disorders, ... the symptoms of my own trauma sometimes seem endless and I have struggled most of my 53 years with trust and a sense of community.

At an early age I lost my Father to Suicide.  It was never talked about and I recieved no care psycholgically  witnessing and experiencing a life of a child living with an untreated Father suffering with schizophrenia.

I longed for my Father most of my life, never getting the help I needed in understanding my trauma and all my fears.  I tried too hard to be a good Mom, wife, freind.  I fell into a dark depression and Suicidality invaded my mind until I became so very desparate to end the pain, I attempted to do exactly what my Father had done.

After 20 years of trying to figure out what could keep me peaceful,  but with purpose.  Safe,  but of value.  Giving,  but acknowledging my self care;    my husband and I began by opening our Live/ Loft.
We opned it as a space to for those that were seeking a non judgemental place to create art, dance, be with others that shared similar life experiences and just be in a place of compassion.

Fast forward and after national news exposure and intrigue, the Mental Wellness Loft was created and WOW!  People came!
Thousands celebrated this idea and I had never felt more alive in my life.  But, the city was ever growing and our Loft was turned into a working unit only and we were forced to leave this incredible space we had spent 2 years creating together.

We donated the space, the art supplies with ease and love as I was able to contribute to giving away the space through my play I had written called  "Hold Mommy's Cigarette".  Wonderful things began to happen.  Awards and accolades, television appearences and regular radio shows.  We had created something unique and authentic.

After losing the loft, we made the decision to find a place that could offer more for me, for our family and for my advocacy with Mental Wellness.

Quickly we became aware that animals don't heal by giving you affection and unconditional love, they help to heal by needing affection and unconditional love.

I find that those of us that live empathetic lives,  yet find it difficult to nurture ourselves find great comfort in giving.
When you connect with an animal's energy and feel their desire for affection and play, it gives you a sense of value and trust.
Isn't that what we all seek in this life to be of value , to have purpose and to live a full beautiful life?

Our dream is to offer that freedom here, a place for those that otherwise would never get to visit or stay with us in our Heritage Bed and Breakfast.  The home sits on a hill over the  Bear River that meets the Sea.
The air is salty and fresh,  the animals as free as possible,  forging in the forest or nestled in the barn in their cozy pens.
The Farmacy is not intended a petting zoo or rescue farm as we believe the animals should come from healthy homes and the Farmers who raise them should be compensated to support their endevours.
That's not to say we have not rescued some animals we found in distress.

It's a new adventure for us and our Farmily.    It's a journey into a life I have dreamed forever.  Please help in making this Wellness Farm a new way for us to learn how to heal in the company of LIVE stock LOVE xo
