Welles Park Light the Diamonds Project

Tax deductible

The Welles Park Parents Association (WPPA) is seeking funding to install lighting systems on two diamonds at Welles Park (2333 Sunnyside, Chicago, IL). At present, there are no lights on the Welles Park diamonds. Annually, more than 1,700 players ages 5 – 19 play baseball and softball through the WPPA thanks to the volunteer hours of dozens of parent coaches. Annually, we have waitlists of dozens of boys and girls across age groups who want to enroll in our programs, but due to our current field limitations, we cannot accommodate them. Adding lights to two of the fields will go a long way in alleviating our field limitation issues, and allow us to significantly reduce our existing waitlists. We are working closely with the Chicago Park District to bring this project to fruition, and your support will help us give more opportunities to girls and boys looking to play baseball and softball in their neighborhood park.

Donations at the following levels will receive the listed items in recognition of their support:
$10K - Team sponsorship for 2 years
$7.5K - Pick your favorite celebrity from Cameo.com and receive a thank you video
$5K - Team sponsorship for 1 year
$1K - Welles Park Sweatshirt
