My Dance Dream

Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm 17. I live in a small village in Norfolk and I have always wanted to be a dancer since I was young, but as my mom is a single parent who works 3 jobs and only just earns enough money to support me and my brother, we could never afford it. Life has been tough, my mom just couldn't run to any extras such a dance classes... although we never went without, extras just weren't a possibility, including holidays. As I grew up this dream stayed with me, I was 15 when I finally started my first dance class, after saving from my paper round and part time job, it was one of the best things I've ever saved for.  I worked hard and progressed fast, and went on to a different studio with more advanced training. I then went on to take an Extended Diploma in Dance at a college nearby. I love every moment of my course and I have learned so much about dance and technique, even gone so far in my progression to start Pointe work in Ballet! Recently I have been auditioning at Universities and just on the off chance I'd get in, I applied to one of the UKs most selective dance schools... Only to get offered a place on the spot. I got into Chantry School Of Contemporary and Balletic Arts!! I couldn't believe it, they only accept 15 students on their 3 year course and they wanted me - even though there were a lot of auditions to go, including some in Italy! I believe I am incredibly lucky but the problem I've got now is to try and find a £500 deposit, and £4000 tuition fee for the first year. This is where I am asking for your help please, at Chantry I will learn new dance techniques and styles, this will fill all the gaps in my knowledge and help me to get into the dance industry. With this school being one of the toughest training institutes I will learn everything I need, such as contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, commercial, pointe and more, including acting and singing. I am on this site because I already work 2 jobs to be able to pay for the classes I do and now I have to raise my tuition fee... There is no student finance available as the school is private. I don't have any other places to get money from and my mom can't afford to take out a loan. Dance school is my dream and now I have got a place, I cannot imagine going to university instead.  I am hoping that I can ask people to help me raise my first years tuition. This money would go to the dance school to help cover my first year of classes. However there are many more things that I have to pay for such as: Uniform, trips, exams, accomodation - once I start at the dance school I will also be working part time to help cover living costs.
