Help Save Lilly

Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my brother’s dog, Lilly. My brother is currently unable to be here because he is incarcerated, and in the meantime Lilly has fallen very sick. She has stopped eating, lost a lot of weight, and needs urgent veterinary care. She’s still drinking water, which is giving us hope, but the vet bills are adding up quickly and my dad can’t do this alone. Lilly was diagnosed with Pyometra. It is a serious and life-threatening infection of the uterus that can happen in female dogs who haven’t been spayed. It causes the uterus to fill with pus, leading to severe illness. If it isn’t treated quickly, the infection can spread through the bloodstream and cause organ failure, which can be fatal.

The only effective treatment is usually emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus and ovaries, which is why the vet bills can be so high. Without surgery, pyometra almost always leads to death, but with prompt treatment, many dogs can recover and go on to live happy, healthy lives.

Lilly means the world to my brother, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure she’s taken care of until he’s home. I want to give her the chance to get the medical attention she needs and deserves.
