<div>Oscar is the young son of one of our regular players. Until just a few weeks ago, he often visited the shop to play games with his dad and brother.

</div>
<div>Recently, his parents noticed some unexplained bruising on his legs that didn’t fade under a glass test, so they went to their GP for advice. Blood tests were done, but there didn’t seem to be any immediate concern—they were told they’d get a phone call by 6 p.m. only if there was something to worry about.
</div>

</div>
<div>When 6 p.m. came and went without a call, they felt relieved. But at 8 p.m., the phone rang. They were asked to take Oscar to the Conquest Hospital right away. There, they met with a doctor and a Macmillan nurse, who delivered the devastating news that their little boy had acute myeloid leukemia.

</div>
<div>Since then, Oscar has begun a difficult journey of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, hospital stays, and countless tests and treatments. His medical team is currently preparing him for a bone marrow transplant by destroying his existing bone marrow with chemotherapy.

</div>
<div>As a community, we want to come together to show Oscar and his family our love and support. We’ll be holding a fundraising weekend on October 18th and 19th, featuring our Pokémon Halloween event, and a Commander Party.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All funds raised will go toward helping the family—whether that means easing the financial burden, or giving them the chance to enjoy something special together once Oscar’s transplant is complete.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s come together to show Oscar that he’s not alone in this fight.
</div>
<div>Sending you all our love and strength, Oscar — get well soon!
