Wee Willie’s treatment

Willie needs help and I am temporarily out of work. He has a life-threatening condition, and after all we’ve done so far, he’s been getting worse and we need to start treating now that we know what we’re looking at.

This is Willie.  Originally named “Wee Willie” by his foster mother’s daughter when he was only 2 weeks old and being fed from a bottle.  He is my first cat. And he’s only 4 years old.  The shaved hip is from the second FHO surgery he’s gotten in 3 years. He had a congenital condition which caused fractures in the femoral head that rests in the socket of the pelvis.  He had surgery on the first hip when he was a year old, and this second him in October. 

This summer, something seemed to be “off”.  He’s a pretty low-key guy anyway, but he stopped giving me the head bops and the purrs that I used to get. I could tell that something was wrong but, as the saying goes, couldn't put my finger on it and troubles articulating it to the medical professionals. 

To summarize a long and arduous journey, through a series of visits, procedures, and involving multiple professionals and facilities, with reasonable certainty we can pin it down to either sarcoma or FIP (feline infectious peritonitus).  Either could explain all the inflammation, the “weird” cells, the anemia, and the fluid in his abdomen. 

I’m not ready to give up and, more importantly, he’s not either  but this is where I need to ask for a little bit of assistance.  I have been without any form of income since November 15, and I am very close to getting an offer from one of a handful of organizations that I am working with.  At this point, Willie’s case is becoming pretty emergent and I’d like to requesta little assistance until I have paychecks coming in again
