Greetings! As The Friends of Eric Patrick Thomas our goal is to raise $65,000 so Eric may purchase a new wheelchair accessible van and continue his mission of empowering resilience and inspiring change in others. 

Eric Patrick Thomas (a.k.a. Mr. inspire) is a Flint, MI, native and entrepreneur who is passionate about serving his community and changing the way people view disabilities. In 1997, Eric suffered an injury to his spinal cord that resulted in him being unable to move from the neck down.  Since his injury he has been an advocate for himself and others while giving back to  Flint and surrounding areas. Eric sits on several state boards as a voice for people with disabilities, is an advocate for Self-Determination living,  shares his story
as a motivational speaker, a mentor, and is the founder of inspire® brand clothing.  Also, Eric owns EZ Awareness By Design a business that specializes in graphic design for personal and company branded apparel signs / banners and offers job experience to people of all abilities. 

In order for Eric to carry on with his mission he needs dependable transportation. Though his van is drivable it has several mechanical problems that have made travel a challenge. Eric had a mechanic look at his van this past year and the cost of fixing the van totals up to more than what the van is worth.
