Hello animal lovers. In 2018, I was graced with my best friend, a silver lab puppy named Wednesday, born in southern Maryland. She’s now 7 and has recently had a decline in health followed by an Addison’s Disease diagnosis, a disease which hinders her ability to make important hormones like cortisol and aldosterone.
We’ve had a very scary and stressful time coming to this diagnosis and hope for a bright, long future with her, but it will take daily treatments and monthly steroid injections. Her time at Tidewater has aided in her recovery as Dr. Blattman saved her life on the way to the AAVEC (Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic) in Annapolis during a rough seizure in transit. I’m so extremely grateful for the doctors there, as well as my mother for support and care during all of this.
Wednesday is currently still admitted at AAVEC and is making a slow but strong recovery. I’m making this GoFundMe in hopes to offset the colossal bills associated with saving a dog's life and to bring awareness to Addison’s Disease (which humans are susceptible to as well) . Any little bit helps; and hopes and prayers are accepted and welcome.
