<div>Hello, my name is Kip Caputo. I am a long time employee (for over two decades) of the Wedgwood Ale House, and as of January 1st, 2021 the current owner. This past Friday (December 8th) I had to make the sad announcement of the upcoming closure of our bar / restaurant / community-space.

<div>This GoFundMe is set up as a way to try and support our long time staff. The average length of employment here is over 18 years. To say that we are heartbroken is an understatement. But beyond the emotional scope of it, is the financial reality of facing short notice unemployment during this holiday season.

<div>The entire staff here has stayed committed to closing this place out to the best of our ability in a way that stays true to our values while giving a heartfelt goodbye to our neighborhood. We are beyond thankful for the outpouring of love and support. These last few days here will be difficult but with our great community it has been a whole lot easier on this Ale House family.

<div>Through this GoFundMe, I am making a rough goal of $40,000 to be distributed amongst our staff. This number was calculated as a months payroll for the employees here. If we could meet this goal, it would make this abrupt change in their lives a little bit less stressful. These donations will allow our crew to be able to navigate their way to the next chapter of their lives.
