<div>Hoi, mijn naam is Erik Rupert, nederlander en ik ben mede eigenaar van <a href="https://www.fincaelpalmar.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Finca Hotel el Palmar</a> in Colombia. Ons hotel is getroffen door de zware aardbeving in Colombia op maandag 10 augustus. De afgelopen 10 jaar hebben wij vele nederlanders bij ons op het hotel mogen verwelkomen tijdens hun reis in Colombia. Het hotel heb ik zo'n 16 jaar geleden leren kennen en ik werd direct verliefd. Het is voor mij een Colombia in het klein. Traditioneel, ontzettend gastvrij, mooie natuurlijke omgeving, rust maar waar ook veel te ontdekken valt. 10 jaar geleden hebben we het er ons project van gemaakt. Niks veranderen wat juist voor mij de grote aantrekkingspunten waren maar wel met wat meer comfort en uitstraling. We hebben er een goede keuken ingezet om maaltijden, hapjes en drankjes te kunnen serveren, goede kwaliteitsbedden, een likje verf, internet, etc.

<div>Maar met de zwaarste aardbeving in Colombia van bijna 50 jaar is ook ons hotel zwaar getroffen. Alle daken en de meeste muren zijn zwaarbeschadigd. De eerste dagen hebben we met het team en een aantal vrijwilligers hard gewerkt zodat het huis van Fanny, Andres en hun zoon Edwin die er ter plekke wonen weer in goede staat te brengen en daarnaast de overige gebouwen gestut en beschermd met plastic om meer schade te voorkomen.

<div>We willen uiteraard ons hotel zo snel mogelijk weder opbouwen zodat we aan iedereen weer kunnen laten zien waarom dit plekje zo bijzonder is. Samen met jullie hulp gaat dit zeker lukken. Met het opgehaalde geld kunnen wij de salarissen van de mensen doorbetalen, de materialen om de muren te verstevigen en een nieuw dak voor het hoofdgebouw.

<div>Als mede eigenaar zorg ik ervoor dat het opgehaalde bedrag voor 100% gebruikt wordt voor de wederopbouw van het hotel en het personeel.
