Gemma & Steven - Wedding Wish Makers

Gemma Mcgowan, 29, from Paisley has been battling Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the nasal cavity since last May.

Gemma has been fighting the disease with radiotherapy, immunotherapy and life-changing surgery to remove her eye. 

Gemma and her partner of 9 years Steven, planned to be married in 2023, however with the devastating news from doctors that there is nothing more that can be done. The couple have been forced to bring their wedding and now plan to be married in the Dalmeny Park Hotel on 11th June.

With time not on our side we are making an urgent appeal to raise £3000 to pay for their wedding venue, marriage license, wedding rings and other wedding related items they will need.

We have been blessed with so many wedding industry suppliers offering their products and  services  for free to give this young couple their dream of being married.

Please help donate if you can to allow this couple to be married in front of their closest family and friends and their little 8month old baby Aaran.

Wedding Wish Makers is a registered non profit organisation based in Renfrewshire.

We fund and organise weddings for people who are terminally ill or have life shortening illnesses.

We rely on very generous wedding industry suppliers to very kindly donate their products and services to give our couplestheir dream wedding.

We appeal for funds to pay for things that we are unable to get donated, such as, the wedding licence, the venue, catering, rings and any other wedding related items we need for our couples.

All donations are greatly appreciate and will go directly to our couples to give them their wish to be married.
