Venue closes 38 Days before Our Wedding!!!!

My fiance Andre and I were engaged on August 5, 2018. We were extremely excited and began planning our wedding. We booked our venue, Noah's of Morrisville, in December of 2018 and set our wedding date for September 7, 2019!!

Due to my fashion design and merchandising background, I am rather creative and I love throwing events, so to save some money, we decided not to use a wedding planner, and I was ready to tackle the challenge of planning this wedding myself!

It has been very exhausting, overwhelming, and challenging to say the least, but very rewarding and fun for me as well. I work a normal job Monday-Friday, 10:30am-7:00pm shift, and I do hair on the side on the weekends and at night after work. As you can see my schedule is crazy as it is on top of planning this wedding. I had to do lots of research, and make lots of calls and emails.

Oh, and did I mention that I made my wedding dress too!!!

Being as exhausted as I was, I could not waittttt for my upcoming bachelorette party in Cancun, Mexico. We had this trip booked 6 months in advance and this was my moment to just relax and take a break from work and wedding planning. My girlfriends and I were just so excited.

Most of the wedding planning was pretty much done. Everything was working out perfectly. My friends and family helped make my centepieces, I made all of my bouquets, ordered every single decoration that was needed, and tackled a few more DIY projects to save some money on decor. Mind you, I am doing all of this around a 10:30am-7:00pm shift. (Who needs sleep right? lol) The week before our trip, I made a last minute detailed "To-Do" list for the month of August, just to make sure everything was in place once I returned.

The day finally came, and you would have thought we, almost-30-year-olds, were waking up on Christmas Day hahaha. We were in line at the airport to check our bags, laughing and having a good time when I received some of the most devastating news of my life.

I almost fell to my knees and could barely breathe in line as I read the email stating that Noah's Event Venue of Morrisville, NC WILL BE CLOSING ON AUGUST 31ST!!!!!! YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY!!! THE LAST EVENT, HELD AT OUR VENUE WAS EXACTLY ONE WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING!!!

I had my first panic attack that day at the airport on my way to Cancun. The worst part of it all is that we put up over $7500 and there is a really good chance, we will not get back any of it.

There is still a lot of legal stuff pending, so I am not sure what the future holds, however, I do know that we are in a tight situation, with our wedding only 33 days away and we have no venue and no additional money.

We are asking for any donation that you are able to contribute. Whether it be $5 or $500. Everything is truly appreciated. We serve a God that is bigger than all of this. As hard as it is to wrap my mind around all of this, I know that everything happens for a reason.

We appreciate all of your prayers, love,  & support!!

Love,
Andre & Quinee
