Wedding for Immigration renewal

Family, friends, colleagues, good day. I rarely publish personal posts but now, I don't have choice. I feel uncomfortable having to do this but I must humbly ask for help because I'm facing a very critical situation. Like many people, it's been a tough year. Here in the Philippines, we were severely confined in mid-March and we still are..They closed all the bars, night clubs, restaurants, stores except the hyper markets & drug stores. They also cut all public transportation even taxis! They brought it back a little lately but still, with a lot of restrictions. We could survive with my pre-pension, some professional contracts and little support from my family and few friends. But lately, they changed and made new immigration laws for expats and it suddenly puts me and my little family in a very worrying and perhaps quite catastrophic situation if I can't resolve the problems it causes us ...

Before, Canadians didn't need a visa to enter in the Philippines as tourists for 30 days. if you wanted to stay after this 1st month, you had to get a tourist visa renewable every 2 & 6 months or get a working permit visa or if you're married to a filipina, a resident's visa. But this one cost more and requires substantial financial conditions. But at least, I could regularly renew my tourist visa and stay 3 years before having to go out and re-entry a new period. I had to do it in 2018, I went 3 days in Singapore with my love one and came back in the Philippines without any problems. But now, another deadline ends on February 8, 2021. I have no choice to leave the country but the conditions have just changed... To go out, I need to enter in another country that most of all had already closed their frontiers to tourists... And another new law, I will need to go to the Philippines embassy over there to get a pre-entry visa BEFORE taking the plane to come back...And another new law, I cannot enter Philippines if I'm not married... So if I cannot enter in a country around here, in Asia, I would have no choice to go back to Canada which is an operation much more expensive and very hazardous for the return...I'll be far, very far and Canada risks being one of the first countries to pin down travelers who will not be vaccinated, like France which even in January, plans to prevent people from leaving the country before the total vaccination is completed. Let's say that at the rate where the laws change without warning, this situation greatly insecures us my girlfriend and I and for our son... They need me and not only financially...

That's basically the mess I'm in. Not to mention all the medical certificates, covid tests and quarantine hotels etc, everywhere I go in and out, and that I have to pay... And if I do not have the means to leave the country, then I will be in an illegal situation, which would then prevent me from entering the Philippines again, where is my family, all my things, my instruments, my gear, my records collection, books, vintage magazines, etc. Needless to say my girlfriend is very worried ... and I too can't hide it...

These new laws and constraints do not leave me much time, I must react as quickly as possible. First, we will marry on December 16. We had to run like crazy to get all the documents and authorizations requested and obviously more complicated & expensive for foreigners...We had to pay for rings, a second-hand dress, couriers, drivers, exit permits and other inherent costs in addition to rents, regular bills, etc. And now, our resources are dry. We have some money left to eat for 2 weeks maybe ... We have no more money to pay the judge and the ceremony...This is important because if other changes arise at least I will be married, it will be safer for us, for my family if something happens to me. And it will also be easier to move with Rhea and our son.

Then I found a possible solution to avoid returning to Canada and to allow me to obtain a cheap entry visa to the Philippines valid for 1 year, if I return to the country with my wife. It's not the same visa if I come back alone. We would go marry a second time in Hong Kong. Internationally recognized marriage unlike that of the Philippines. I specify that actually, Rhea and my son cannot enter Canada, the conditions and visas are very expensive and practically impossible to meet. Hong Kong is closed to tourists now but through an agency we could get a one week "wedding invitation" without quarantine. After the wedding, we are given the certificates, we go to the Philippine Embassy for my visa and voila. But hey, even if plane tickets and the prices of hotel rooms are cut by 2/3 due to the lack of tourists, the fact remains that this agency is not free and the whole operation still costs expenses. But it is well worth it to be quiet with Philippines immigration for a year.

I also do research for, while leaving the country, to try not to come back, it's too much "no future" here for a long time to come.. The economy has fallen sharply, millions of Filipinos, already poor, have no income since March and it is becoming dangerous especially for foreign expat$... 2 million have already left the country and thousands more are in the process... It's getting very unhealthy, there are more and more aggressions, I'll skip the details. So we do research, we approach agencies to move either to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, where there are still a lot of French communities, which is good for me in terms of work, projects, etc. Obviously, it's not easy to get in these countries at the moment but with a good project and a small installation start-up budget, it's possible I've been told. For example, one can find a nice accommodation or business-apartment loft in Cambodia for around $ 300 to $ 500 / month.

This is a bit of the story. If you have any questions or want more details, I will provide them to you by private message. First, I have to deal with these very stressful emergencies and time is running out. Sincerely, we need help. $ 50, $ 100 or more for those who can; these small amounts worth much more in the Philippines and around. We have to pay the wedding expenses, to get out of the country; the trip and the wedding operation in Hong Kong would be much less expensive in total than my trip to Canada alone, that I must avoid at all costs, too insecure for our family, which could separate us and put them in trouble for a long time because I will have to support myself there in addition to having to support my family in the Philippines, which under current conditions will be very difficult to achieve.

For the terms and payments, it is not complicated. Via Western Union or transfer to my bank account in Montreal. Details in private message.

Sorry for this long post, I had to explain a minimum. This embarrassing situation bothers me a lot but as I said at the beginning, I am suddenly in an emergency situation, I have to pound on my pride.

Thank you for your attention and support, and on behalf of Rhea, Rey Allen and me, despite the current conditions, have good holidays!
