On Thursday December the 18, Clayton and Linda Weaver (Papaw and Mammaw) were involved in a terrible accident on there way home from Christmas shopping for their familly. A family that consist of 5 children; a son and four daughters, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous in-laws.
They were within a mile of their home when a wanted felon being pursued by the police decided to take his own life. In doing so, his vehicle drifted into their lane, striking their vehichle head on.
They were transported to University Health in Shreveport where they are now fighting for their lives. Their bodies are so broken, but not their spirits. Linda (Mammaw) is still listed in critical condition and has already had 2 surgical procedures and will require many more. Clayton (Papaw) is stable but will require multiple surgeries as well.
The community has graciously rallied around the family to show their support. Many have asked if they can make donations to help with the mountain of medical bills that are piling up. We are truly humbled and very appreciative of all of the support and ask for your continued prayer. These two are fighters and we have faith that God has them in his hands.
