this is margo. she is my new friend. she is #homeless. she gave me permission, though she did not want me to take her photo. i have been trying to meet her/help her for nine months. lately, she has been hanging around my @traderjoes. she has some limited food stamps. first time i approached her, she was angry + declined any help. 2nd time, she allowed me to buy her a + a small bottle of water. 3rd time, she again declined. 4th time, just before thanksgiving, she allowed me to buy her a chicken sandwich. today, i bought her some little RTG applesauce paks + a big bottle of water. when i gave them to her, she cried. tears of #graditude + #embarrassment. she told me she is sick of being homeless. that she has $2 for a bus pass, but no where to go. i told her i would bring her a coat next time, as it gets cold at nite, even in the desert. she is full of pride. has few teeth. very tall. snarky sense of humor. gentle. strong. weak. sad. she is, above all, #grateful. she is margo. #weareeverywhere. #givingtuesday

today many of you have reached out wanting to help...we would like to secure some food gift cards, or hotel/motel stays +/or bus passes .  the goal would be a long term living situation...'tis the season, but her struggle is long + ongoing...any amount would be appreciated!  she can not take much in the way of "things," as her cart is small + she has no where to put "stuff..."  peace + love my friends.
