We've Got Your Back!

As many of you know, our friend Sarah has had serious back pain for some time. Recently things took a dramatic turn, and she ended up needing to have back surgery this morning. The surgery included a full on discectomy with a laminectomy, in laymen's terms Sarah had a huge herniated disc removed from her spinal cord.  As a dedicated PICU nurse, who works so hard to help heal people everyday, we all now have an opportunity to help her heal!!

The Good News: The surgery today was successful and Sarah is at home starting her recovery. She's got a great support system to monitor her and help her heal.

The Bad News: Even with insurance, the surgery was very expensive. Sarah has been unable to work for the last month, and she still has at least another month or two for recovery. Even once she is cleared to return to work, she will have strict restrictions during physical therapy. As you can imagine, all of this will leave things much financially tighter than normal for their family.

We have an opportunity to help, by helping to cover the costs of this procedure. Let's give both Sarah and Lauren peace of mind, so they can focus on healing and getting Sarah back on her feet.
