If you know my sister Liz and her family, you would know that this is hard to do. They are a proud, very quiet and low key family. But they are a very faith-filled, compassionate and generous family.
Every. Single. One. Of. Them.
If you ever needed anything, you didn't have to ask - they are there for all family and friends - and I bet a lot of people they didn't even know, but helped out because it was brought to their attention that someone needed help.
Well now they need our help.
My brother-in-law Frank Torres, the quietest of the bunch was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer over one year ago. He went through 5 intensive weeks of radiation and chemotherapy because he has the will to beat this to be there for his family. A few months after he completed the treatment and cancer removal surgery, he was diagnosed with Metastatic Brain Cancer. He later returned to the hospital to complete another regimen of radiation therapy. In September he was released from the hospital and able to recover in the comfort of his own home. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been very comfortable. He now has the shingles virus and is in severe pain. To say he's been through a lot is an understatement. He's been in and out of the hospital, undergoing continuous treatments, several surgeries, and now the medical bills are piling up. I could include so much more about what this sweet, generous, give you the shirt off his back and last dime in his pocket, man has been through, but the bottom line is - we are asking for your help to ease some stress and financial burden for my sister's family. They have sacrificed and put so much on hold to help tend to the strongest and most selfless guy they know.
My sister didn't ask for this Go Fund Me, we asked her to let us help them through this. Please consider making a donation, any amount, large or small - it will all help. If you are not in a position to make a monetary donation, please pray for the Torres Family - and let's #FightWithFrank to help him through this.
