My dear brother, David Ehlman, was tragically killed in a work accident on November 1. It was a Saturday, and it was late in the afternoon, but David was working because that’s what he did. He sometimes worked seven days a week as a painter to support his family. David fell off a ladder and had died by the time the paramedics arrived. We don’t know how or why this happened.
David has left a wife, Elisabeth, and two young children. Maria is 8 years old and Noki (Nicholas) is 6. David was completely devoted to his family and they adored him. Even though he worked a lot, he found time to take the kids to church every Sunday and then take them to visit his mom at the Memory Care facility. Family was everything to David.
Please consider helping this wonderful family. David was the main breadwinner and his loss is devastating in so many ways, including financially. This is a time in our world where everyone is asking for contributions to something. We understand that but hope that you will add the Ehlman family to your list. Children need so many things as they grow, and Maria and Noki are going to need a great deal of help. Due to the self-employment nature of his work, David did not have life insurance. Liz is a great mom, but her teacher salary will be unlikely to be able to pay for much of the necessities.
David was always the first one to offer help to anyone in need. Now it’s our turn to help him. As his sisters and brother, we thank you for any amount you can share. We also ask that you remember the whole family in your prayers.
