Howe Family Robbed - Help Us Recoup

Being robbed is scary... It leaves you feeling stunned, confused, and violated. I never thought it would happen to me and my family...
Unfortunately it did happen to us on our first day moving into our new home. Our family just moved overseas to a new duty station in Rota, Spain. My husband, Rusty, is a U.S. Navy sailor and has served his country for the last 9 years. Together we came with our 1-year-old daughter, Liana, and pets.
On the first day moving into our home off-base, we returned in the afternoon to find our gate and patio door open and we’d been robbed...Wow.
It looks like someone may have been watching me as I unpacked the car earlier that day while Rusty was at work and knew when to target us.
Rusty’s backpack with almost all of our valuables and electronics was stolen. Worst of all, Rusty’s computer was stolen, which he needs to finish his college degree while on deployment.
We’re thankful to be safe and unharmed, but it’s left us shaken and unsure how to recuperate from this major financial blow. Sadly, we had not yet gotten renter’s insurance, so can’t file a claim. Altogether, we lost about $4,000 worth of items, and we just don’t have the savings to recover all that was stolen.
If you can please help, any little bit of assistance is SO appreciated. We hate asking for handouts, and it’s very difficult for me to ask for this help, but my husband’s college education is very important to me and I really want to raise money to help him get another computer and recover from the loss.
