My name is Jessica Gonzales, and I'm a mother of four. In November, immigration officials stopped my husband in Gresham on his way to work. He was leaving lunch when immigration stopped him, detained him, and sadly, he was deported to Guatemala City, where we're from. Honestly, my children are very sad. They long to see their father again, but we can't afford to bring him over because it's too expensive, and right now I'm covering all the costs for my children since my husband was the sole provider for our family. He was the joy of my children, a good and responsible father, both at home with his children and at work. I have no words to express how much I love my husband; he's a wonderful person. My children long for us to go to Guatemala to see their dad, but we can't go because we don't have a place to stay there. I'm hoping you can help me build at least two rooms for my children, so they have somewhere to stay and we can enjoy time with their dad again. Life in Guatemala is very difficult, but we want to go back. We just can't go because we don't have the money. If you are kind enough to help me build two rooms for my children in Guatemala, I would be so grateful. My children would be overjoyed to see their dad again because he's a part of their lives every day. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old, an eleven-year-old, and a young child. My 9-year-old son and I have a 7-year-old son. They've been very sad ever since immigration officials took their parents. There are days when my children don't want to eat because they long to be with their father, playing with him. My little girl's hair is falling out; I think it's from so much sadness, since it's been almost three months since she's seen her father. Honestly, I'm a very strong woman because I try to cheer my children up and tell them that we'll be together soon. To anyone who sees this message, please help me. I know that one day God will repay you. Today it's for me, and tomorrow it could be for you. Thank you so much, and God bless you.
