March 18, 2017 was the day that I celebrated my 28th birthday and made the decision to pursue my dream job. As most of you may know, I started Private Neighbors to channel my creative ambition and to build something that I could be proud of. Another goal of mine when I started this company was to provide a platform for creative leaders - which is why I partnered with some of the most talented people I know.
Personally, I want to take this mission a step further and extend it to our future leaders. Other than music and fashion, I'm very passionate about empowering scholars who are fighting through racial and socioeconomic challenges. As someone who went through some of the hardships that these individuals are facing, I have always felt the responsibility to give back. This sense of duty has led to me to volunteer throughout my college and professional career by providing guidance to high school students in need. I'm not a role model, but I want serve as a big brother figure.
This year, instead of gathering my friends and family to celebrate my birthday with generous bar tabs and sparkling bottles, I decided to do something more meaningful. I want to channel your love and support for a better cause.
Please help me celebrate my 29th birthday by helping me raise a stipend for a high school senior. I will be partnering up with an educational program to select the recipient. We will be looking for their proven leadership skills and personal story. 100% of the raised amount will be given to that scholar before their last semester of their senior year. I will continue to provide everyone with updates on the selection process.
