Hi we are Danielle & Evert, parents of Grace & Cole. Evert and our family, are battling ALS.
ALS is commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It's a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
Evert is now wheelchair-bound due to his condition and unable to move anything but his head.
About a year ago, our family moved back from the west coast to Gaithersburg, MD to be closer to extended family and friends.
The moving expenses were so great that we had to sell our car to pay for them.
Now we are in need of a vehicle for Danielle to be able to get to work, take Grace & Cole to school, and for Evert to get to his doctor's appointments. Danielle at this time is taking public transportation, which is not only time consuming but destinations are limited. Not only does Evert need a special vehicle, but the children have to sacrifice and/or limit their activities.
