We need JOY in our LIVES! Help my MOM fight Cancer

Family, friends, acquaintances and strangers alike:
Some of you call her a friend, employee, aunt, sister, daughter and grandma, but to me, she is Mom. As some of you may or may not know, this past 6 weeks has been extremely difficult for our family. On Labor Day, my Mother, Joy Burrow was admitted to the hospital and after weeks of testing, with a heavy heart we have confirmed, Stage 3A non-small cell carcinoma Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
As fate would have it, my Mom just retired and moved to be closer to my brother and I near Canyon Lake, Texas since we recently relocated. By the grace of God, she was able to get her Cobra Insurance reinstated so she can get treatments, which consist of simultaneously Chemotherapy and Radiation. At the end of this month my Mom will undergo 6 weeks, 16 sessions of Chemotherapy (Cisplatin and Etoposide), with 45 days straight (Monday-Friday) of daily External Beam Radiation Therapy. After treatment, they will repeat the imaging to reevaluate the size of the tumor. If it responds to the Chemotherapy and has shrunk, she will then undergo massive surgery to remove the tumor. If it remains too big, they will repeat another 6 weeks of chemotherapy, and reexamine.
In the past 6 weeks, Mom has recovered from Acute Renal Kidney failure, 4 comprehensive blood examinations, 2 blood transfusions and undergone 2 full body CT-scans, MRI, 2 Brain scans, Bronchoscopy Biopsy, Percutaneous Lung Biopsy, 1 Scintigraphy (a bone scan using nuclear energy), Simulation CT, and a PET scan. All of these approached with a positive attitude.
Over the years, I know everyone sees Gofundme pages asking for donations for all types of things; however, tonight reality has set in as I write this and ask for the kindness and generosity of everyone. I have created this page in hopes that we can come together to help ease some of the stress my Mom is going through while she is fighting Lung Cancer. This GoFundme will allow my mother the peacefulness needed to fight this battle head-on, without financial limits holding her back.
This page will also be used as a platform to communicate and keep our loved ones updated over the next few months while she undergoes treatments. The donations will be used for a variety of things, namely monthly insurance-Cobra, $8k deductible (which in 3 months – new deductible sets in for 2020), prescriptions, healing and living expenses.
Any small donation or share on social media goes a long way, and if you're unable to donate, prayers and positive vibes are just as important. Please share this with your loved ones and remember life can change in an instant. It certainly did for my Mom and our family.
