I want to begin this correspondence by again, thanking all the individuals who donated to the initial Operation Heat campaign. Earlier this year, our campaign was so beneficial to the students of Baltimore City Public Schools that we knew we could not stop there. In fact, the initial campaign was so successful, that it garnered both national and international attention. Because of your generosity, we were able to provide more than just winter apparel and heaters, we were able to fund various projects for schools that created an even greater impact.

From the Trenches to the Throne, Inc. is an organization designed to meet the complex needs of primary and secondary education for aged youth in Baltimore City and other underserved communities. Operation Heat is one of several innovative initiatives to meet those needs. We are currently soliciting monetary donations to fund and expand the organization. We also need a team of individuals experienced in the areas of nonprofit and strategic collaboration, grant writing, accounting, and program coordination who are willing to volunteer a few hours per week while we are growing and expanding our operations.
Part 2 of the Operation Heat campaign is in full effect!
Despite what we were able to accomplish in the past year, the lack of heat and basic resources in our public schools is still a potential issue that our youth will likely experience, again. Many of the schools we donated winter outerwear and supplies will need more of those same items this year. In efforts to get ahead of the issue before it becomes dire need for most of our students that are still without, we’re contacting schools and taking account of what may be needed.

We are so excited to report the great strides that continue to move us forward. Let’s continue the grassroots and effective fundraising and assistance that changed the game.
