We messed up - Eviction Notice

Okay, You know us. We live modestly. We try to help others. 

We gotta ask for your help now.

We messed up our finances but thought we had worked out repayment with our landlord.
Suddenly he is demanding all past due plus interest. 

(We think he saw how much the little house next door sold for and he is seeing a huge profit if he can sell.)

A couple of months ago he told us he was gonna show the house to a prospective buyer. We balked, but went scrambling around applying to numerous apartments, spent money on application and administrative
fees, wore ourselves out only to be rejected by all.
THEN landlord tells us he was just trying to light a fire under us to buy the house. We have repeatedly told
him we can not do that.

There was no prospective buyer.

We'd love to move but we cannot.

We have to come up with $2000 by August 1st to avoid the  
handwritten and already hand delivered eviction notice. 

Any amount will help no matter how teeny. 

Not gonna post this far and wide. Don't want to embarrass the kids.
