This military mom and family is so proud, she is probably going to be mad at me for making this page. My sister by choice, Janelle, is one of the most caring, loving, giving and deserving people I know. But she would not ask for help. She would feel there are more deserving people than her. That is exactly why I am asking.
A little over a year ago, Janelle was in a terrible car accident. She was going to work as usual (third shift), when she turned the corner on a backcountry road and there were some kids on bicycles in the middle of the road. In order for her to avoid hitting them, she swerved her car and it ended up rolling multiple times.
Since then she has had 2 surgeries to fuse together and put metal screws and cages into all her cervical vertebrae. As you can imagine, this accident has created so much turmoil in her and her family’s life. The constant pain she is in almost unbearable. BUT, she continues to have a great attitude and do everything possible to heal. She walks over 10 miles everyday to help her recovery. She is determined to do everything she can to increase her healing. She is pro-active and would want nothing more to be able to go back to work.
But this accident has put a huge burden on their finances. We are asking for donations to help ease the stress of financial burdens. The money would be going towards medication, getting their car fixed, new walking shoes, and help with the huge pile of medical and other expenses that have grown since she is not working.
Her family is working overtime to do all they can. Like I said, this is a proud military family. They are not complainers. They are hard workers. This campaign has come from her caring friends that can see how hard she and they are working in hopes that some financial help will ease the stress a little to give her some piece of mind.
