WE LOVE Sherri Marques!

Hi lovely friends of Sherri's,
You all know the cancer struggle that Sherri has been going through for a very long time. Ever since I moved to the States back in 2011 Sherri has bravely been fighting and winning battle after battle with cancer. First it was breast cancer, then it moved to her lungs and now in her spine.
Any other person would feel sorry for themselves with the diagnosis and pity themselves and the very unfortunate situation they find themselves in. But not Sherri Love! She is the MOST upbeat, happy and resilient woman I know! I am very blessed to have met her and be called her friend.
Viviana Malo's kids (her oldest boys are best friends with Sherri's son Brennan) have said to her on occasion "Mommy, i know why Sherri’s name is ‘Sharey’, it’s because she likes to share, she’s so nice!” If they could have a different mom other than me, their answer is Sherri. What a lovely thing to hear other kids say about a friend!
Sherri is always smiling and laughing and moving forward, ready for anything. I know God wants us to be like that, ready for anything and accepting of all things, generous and kind.
I have been lucky enough to be able to take Sherri to some of her chemo sessions and keep her company, and let me tell you, just staying with her for a few hours and driving to South SF and back is draining enough! But Sherri rolls around on Monday morning and GOES TO WORK! She has been working full time ever since I have known her because she is a single mum and she HAS to pay the bills. She goes to work through all the chemo cycles and only this week has taken a couple of days off because she is SO tired, she literally has to sleep at 10am.
Her oncologist has advised her to take it easy and take at least a couple of months off and just rest. This is the time that I would like us, her friends, to carry her for a while if possible, and give back to her while she moves through this challenging time all the while with a smile on her face. Let's all help in kindness, compassion, generosity and the true meaning of the word charity, which is LOVE.
Let's show Sherri some LOVE and help her with the bills for the next few months and just let her be able to stay home and recover from the chemo onslaught.
