We love Nate!

We are thankful for your prayers, love, and support. Many of you have asked about other ways in which you can help. We are truly grateful and humbled by your generosity. As we are navigating through what this next year of treatment will look like, we are uncovering some needs for Nate and our family.
We are grateful to have excellent healthcare coverage for hospital stays, etc. However, we are coming across some unanticipated expenses as we prepare our living environment for Nate. We want to make it as easy as possible for him to function at home.
In addition, Jeremy doesn’t receive family medical leave. He will be giving up a lot of his shifts to accompany Nate for upcoming hospital visits and trips to Houston. We want him to be able to be a fully present advocate for Nate.
Here's a little history to bring us up to date. If you know anything about Nate, you know he loves all things sports. After playing football and basketball last fall/winter, he also added on a track season in April. During track practice as he was sprinting, he begin to feel pain in his leg. At first, we thought it was soreness from running. Then we believed it to be a pulled muscle. The pain persisted even after weeks of rest, so in June he had an MRI of his back, hip, and leg. On June 14th, we received the image results that Nate has a cancerous tumor in his pelvis.
