All We Grow Food Gardens have been made possible by the community's generous support.... sharing what we have to make projects like this possible.
We Grow Food, established in 2013 has grown to include 23 private and 5 neighbourhood gardens. Teaching over 40 programs every year, impacting over 350 families with 25,000 lbs of foods, farming almost 2 acres in the City of Oshawa and having almost 5000 people volunteering, participating in programming and visiting the gardens each year, it has become an important part of the community. We have a strong model to move forward with.
Food insecurity, getting control back of our food source, greening the city, and building community has put We Grow Food in high demand to help teach and implement food projects throughout the region. With the new Urban Farming Mobile Classroom we will be able to meet with large groups of people right at their location.
