We Garden Urbanly Program Donations

Hi, my name is Deneir Holland. I am the CEO of Aeri La Rue Designs, a Garden and Landscaping Company that services the Philadelphia Urban Community. I also have a Masters in Elementary Education and Special Education. I was inspired and given the opportunity to start a Gardening Club at the James Dobson Elementary School. The Garden Club that Aeri La Rue Designs will teach is called "We Garden Urbanly". This is a volunteer opportunity. We are looking to raise funds to purchase Personalized Garden Necessities like tools, a garden bag, gloves for each child (15 children). Also, other garden needs like plants, soil, seeds, pots for learning experiences and activities.

We Garden Urbanly is essential because it gives children of Urban Communities an opportunity that their space may limit. We Garden Urbanly program hopes to create an interest in nature, plants, crops, herbs, agriculture, healing, gardening and more. In this program, they will also learn how to utilize the space they have in their urban space to create a garden and grow their own food. This program will provide children with experiences of working with soil, vegetation, herbs and flowers and the benefits. They will also learn about the life cycle of a plant, the names of plants and the appropriate caring for plants. They will read books and learn terminology associated with planting and gardening. Aeri La Rue Designs will provide Age-Appropriate experiences with Science, Nature and Agriculture.
