Hilltop Elementary - Eagle Scout

Hello!

My name is Preston Hendricks.  I am 14 years old and will be a freshmen next year at Arygle High School.  I am in Boys Scout Troop 468 in Denton, Texas.

I have chosen to become an Eagle Scout.  To accomplish this, I must complete an Eagle Scout project which provides service to my local community.  My 9 year old brother, Mason, attends Hilltop Elementary in Arylge, Texas.  In back of his school is a concrete basketball court with two 10 feet basketball goals.  The problem is that only K-4 attend Hilltop Elementary and the goals are too high for most kids.  Ms Pels, the Hilltop Elementary principal, would like two new 8 feet goals to be installed crossways on the court.  I have chosen to do this for my project along with painting lines on the court as well as painting an eagle's head at half court.  The project will serve the elementary school for many years to come and it will be something to be proud of.  

I need to raise ~$2000.  The majority will to towards the purchase of backboards and steel tubing along with the labor to cut and weld.  Boy Scouts of America requires any extra money that is raised to go to the project beneficiary, which in this case is Hilltop Elementary.

I will be completing this project mid-July 2015.  I'd appreciate any donation that you can afford.
