Cancer messed with the wrong Firefighter

Mike is an active firefighter with Mammoth Lakes Fire Protection District, serving that community for over 10 years.  In June of this year, at age 56, he was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 3 prostate cancer.  Since his diagnosis he has undergone many tests to determine the best course of treatment.  

The recovery period for the type of treatment his doctors are recommending varies, but will require significant travel, numerous additional tests, and follow-up treatments.

Mike has been quietly dealing with the costs of his cancer treatment up to this point and is the last person to ask for financial assistance from his friends and family, but due to changing circumstances we feel now is the time to step in and assist him in any way we can.  He has done amazing things for people in need, it is our turn to help him in his time of need.

After treatment Mike will be unable to work but hopes to return in late Spring or early Summer.
