Help for my sister's family

My name is Alexandra Lopez, residing in New Jersey, and I'm in need of assistance to help my family in Puerto Rico as much as I can and with your help.

As you know, there have been many natural disasters that have hit different countries/states around the world. Most recently, Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico and other islands. 

I have several family members in Puerto Rico, some of which we still haven't heard from, but praying that they are all safe and sound.  Among my family, there are my mother (Iris) and stepdad (Herminio), my sister(Lorraine) and her husband (Jose) and their two young kids (Isabella and Adrian), and my brother (David). They are all ok and I had the pleasure of speaking with them for the past few days. 

Unfortunately, reality is that it's going to take time to get back to their normal lives.  One of the major effects is that their places of employment have been devastatingly damaged in San Juan. My sister worked at El San Juan Hotel, who just went through a renovation, only to find out that the hotel has suffered a lot of damage, having water up to four floors worth and management telling their employees, like my sister, that they will not be up and running until possibly a year. This news puts them in a terrible position and I would like to help them as much as I can. 

I am opening my home to all of them , God willing , and that they are able to make their flights out here soon. They had a planned vacation previous to the hurricanes and now that vacation will be a needed extended length of stay until things back at their homes are in better conditions. 

My financial resources are limited as well and therefore I am reaching out to you, family and friends alike, to please try to make any monetary contribution towards my family to assist them temporarily until they are able to find jobs and slowly get back on their feet. Especially my sister, Lorraine and her husband Jose, who have my niece, Isabella and my nephew Adrian, who will need financial assistance to be able to provide for their children. 

I would've collected goods, but they are not sure when residential mail will be back up and running. They are in the need for funds though and this is why i'm starting this GoFund campaign. They have no idea i'm doing this for them. I think if i would've asked them they would've said not to and I really see the need for this to happen for them.

I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my family with your thoughts and prayers. For those of you who know me, you know how much I love and appreciate my family and will do anything and everything for them. This help will mean so much to me!
