I am Rajah Steede, a senior majoring in Risk Management & Insurance, and I am your effervescent contestant number eleven in the 2019 Alpha Phi Alpha Miss Black & Gold Pageant.
Did you know 1 in 30 children experience homelessness every year? That is equivalent to 2.5 million children! My platform is Youth Development & Leadership, and during my reign, I plan to fight for the advancement and development of homeless youth. As your future Miss Black & Gold, I will implement a program to provide resources for our children. I am a firm believer that food, water, and shelter are necessities of life and therefore should not be treated as luxuries. These children need our help, and I need your help to reach my goal.
