Herb's Recovery

On September 7th Herb slipped into his basement which resulted in a severe brain injury with multiple brain bleeds where he had to undergo an emergency craniotomy. While recovering in the ICU, many blood clots were found throughout his body along with several other complications with his lungs and heart. Due to long-term reliance on the ventilator, a trach and peg tubes were put in place. He will be leaving Wilson for rehab at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY. The main source of income comes from Cathy Depew his wife. She will be tending to his every need and will not be able to go back to work any time soon. The money donated to this cause will assist her with paying for his medical expenses, travel, housing, and a ramp that will need to be built before he can return home. Any little bit will help ease the financial burden while Cathy is away and out of work. Herb is a 62-year-old family man that shows it in his own way through silly jokes and silly faces that his grandchildren know all too well. He has fought for his life since the accident as his family and friends could only visit one at a time due to the current pandemic. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we hope for Herb to have a speedy recovery.
