This GoFundMe has been set up to assist my daughter, a single mom and her 4 children to find a place to live in Trenton, FL. Please take a moment to read the full story and consider donating.

Here’s Sabrina’s story...

Sabrina and her estranged husband were married for 10 years and during that time, they had 4 children — two girls and two boys, ages 12, 10, 6, and 4. Our grandchildren are the light of our lives!

Sabrina fled the home in February of 2019 after a long history of domestic violence and mental health issues by her estranged husband. Divorce proceedings began in March 2019.

Three of the children (two girls and one boy) stayed with Sabrina at that time, while one child (boy) stayed with the father. This was the arrangement until late May 2019 when the father refused to return one of the boys to Sabrina’s care. Multiple attempts to get the child back fell on deaf ears.

What has transpired since then are multiple documented cases of abuse against the children at the hands of their father. Law enforcement, DCF and a Child Protection Team have been involved and there are several open investigations. Both girls have been diagnosed with PTSD and are receiving intense therapy. The boys reside with their father and display disturbing characteristics as a result of significant parental alienation and control by their father. This is not a case of “he said, she said”, as there are mountains of emails and text messages showing the abuse and parental alienation at the hands of her estranged husband.

When Sabrina fled this situation, she moved to another county to give herself and her children a fresh start in a SAFE place. She works full-time as a Registered Chiropractic Assistant in a large chiropractic/spinal injury practice in the Ocala, FL area.

Her estranged husband is unemployed and has been for several years. He has a long history of job instability and erratic behavior. In their 10 years of marriage, he moved his family at least 10 times — many times with little to no warning. As a 36-year old grown man, he has stated “I’m not going to look for a job because my dad will give me everything I need.” He lives in a home that was purchased by his father. He drives a car purchased by his father. His father also provides money for living expenses. His father is very wealthy and more than willing provide for his adult son. Sabrina's estranged husband has shown no interest in getting the help he needs.

The court is of the belief that the parental responsibility should be evenly distributed 50/50. Even with the open investigations of abuse, they will not deviate from the 50/50 plan.

Sabrina has been told that she will have to move back to Trenton, FL, because it’s where they lived when the divorce was filed. If she does not move back, she could face losing custody of the children. There are currently no places for rent in the Trenton area.

So, picture this. Victims of domestic violence (mom and children) are being told to move back and live within close proximity of their abuser.

Sabrina currently lives in a 3-bedroom lease-to-own home. After not being allowed to work outside the home for years, she’s now working hard to provide for herself and her children. She will most likely lose the deposit she placed on the this home when she moves back to the Trenton area.

You’re probably asking yourself...what now? Well, if you’ve read this far, THANK YOU! If you feel led to help, WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
