Help our Family Overcome Current Financial Struggles

Within the last few months, it has seemed like it has truly been one thing after the other. When we feel as if we can once breathe again, an unexpected expense occurs, and we are right back feeling like we are drowning. Life has been hard financially this past year, and I know it has been for most, which makes it even harder to reach out for help. My husband Shannon and I are not ones to really reach out for help, especially financially on a platform like this, but I’m starting to realize it’s okay to lean on our greatest resource in life and ask for help from our friends and family in times of need. Shannon works full-time, and I try to help out our family by pet sitting and doing odd/end side jobs as much as I can. We really live frugally and have just come across this hard season in our lives.. I’ve struggled with the feeling of being ashamed or embarrassed about having to have help at times in our lives. We are so used to being on the other side, giving, when we are able. No matter how hard times get, there’s always something to be thankful for, and God has blessed us tremendously with a beautiful family; He has provided when we didn’t know how we were going to get by. Just this past week, we have had so many car and truck problems, with still a list to be fixed on both vehicles. I’m thankful for the angels who helped get a set of used tires for me when I was scrambling around not knowing what to do. I know this is just a bump in the road, and we are ready to be able to breathe a little bit more. The saying “just keep swimming” has been a motto for me here lately! We are ready to start the New Year off with a fresh start and get back on our feet!
