Wayne's Lung Cancer Treatment Fund

I am 55 Yrs. old and have recently been diagnosed with stage four metastatic lung cancer. The cancer has spread throughout my body. The irony is that I have never smoked a cigarette or anything else for that matter. I never did drugs and I don't even drink alcohol. It started off with a cough about 6 months ago and I thought it was just a cold or flu but it persisted. After many visits to various doctors it was finally determined that I have lung cancer. That's when the real fun began with X-rays, CT Scans, PET Scans, MRI's, Blood work, Biopsy and more lab work not to mention now having to have fluid around my lung drained about every two weeks. My Oncologist was pretty optimistic since I did not lead a lifestyle that would promote lung cancer. He thought that I would have certain markers in my lab work that would allow me to be treated with Immunotherapy and a positive outcome. Well all my lab work finally came in and no such luck. I have now been told that my only option is Chemo-therapy and  even with that it would only slow it down and or shrink it. Not a great option especially with the strong Chemo they are recommending and all of the side effects. I have been researching alternative cancer treatment options since I first found out about the cancer. The problem is that the naturopathic options are not covered by insurance and are completely out of pocket. There are a few options that show a lot of promise and hope. That is one of the reasons why I decided to start my gofundme campaign. I am not sure what it is going to cost me at this point so I may change the request amount but I can tell you that the regular medical bills have already started rolling in and this campaign will also help with that. I have a 15 year old son and a wife who I would like to stick around for. My faith is strong and I believe god is in control of this situation so I am putting this out there and leaning on God and everyone else to see me through.
