Wayne Coyle Memorial Fund

On October 20th, my dad Wayne, decided to go into the Emergency Room after dealing with some stomach pain and difficulty breathing for about a week. After being admitted, he experienced his first set-back that next Monday when he needed to be admitted to the ICU to deal with low oxygen levels. While in ICU, they discovered that he had a bowel blockage and some fluid in his gut that were causing the breathing difficulties and stomach pain. He needed to have surgery to remove some tissue that was causing the bowel blockage. He has now been in the ICU for going on three weeks and still has not come back around from the sedatives or been removed from the ventilator.

Unfortunately, Wayne does not have medical insurance and, beyond the hospital bills, will need some significant rehab time to recover from his extended hospital stay. This means he will be unable to work for about 2 months after being released from the hospital. We are asking for donations to help with his medical bills as well as to help him complete rehab without having to worry so much about his day-to-day finances.

I honestly don't know at this point how much his medical bills will total, nor how much his rehab will cost. I do know that his monthly bills total about $1200 give or take for rent, utilities, car insurance, and car payment. The $10,000 goal is really just a jumping off point likely to help him get through the next few months until he can get back to work.

Update: We are amending the goal as the needs have changed. We are now just trying to cover final expenses for Wayne. He wished to be cremated and then we will be hosting a celebration of life or memorial ceremony that we will need to fund as well.
