Friends, I want to first say thank you so much for the donations, reposts, calls, texts and kind words through this difficult time. Waylon fought hard through the night, but unfortunately there was nothing to be done to save him. He went peacefully earlier this afternoon with me by his side.
The money you’ve so generously donated is being put towards the hefty medical costs from the tests, surgery, and ultimately to help him pass on. I continue to appreciate all of your generosity- it’s lifting a great weight off my shoulders as I go through this. ❤️

My name is Waylon and I’m a 3 year old Pointer mix. I was rescued back in May 2017 by my human mother, Lauren Philpot, and was accepted into her world with open arms and wagging tails! We recently made a big move to Nashville and all seemed well until this past week, when we ran into some really bad luck (to say the least). I was having trouble eating, walking, and couldn’t keep any food down. As it turns out, not only do I have an inflamed and enlarged gallbladder (which already required surgery yesterday), but we have just learned tonight that my kidneys are failing.
I’m on fluids and will be spending a few nights in the vet hospital, and a lot will be determined over the next 24 hours. If any of you can find it in your heart to help my mother do all she can to help my prognosis, we will both be eternally grateful, and send many puppy licks your way. Anything you can spare can make all the difference! Thank you for your support!
