Help Kayla Watson Study Abroad

I am using gofundme to raise funds to help support my dream of studying abroad in Europe. I would forever be indebted to anyone that helps make this dream a reality. Below is an overview of my plans to study abroad in January 2018. It would be amazing if I could reach my goal of raising $8,500 in the next 30 days.

Next semester, I will have the opportunity to study abroad in Prague, Czech Republic to expand my horizons and become a more globally conscious citizen.

I am currently a junior majoring in Graphic Design at North Carolina State University. Along with this, I am actively involved with the University Scholar’s Program, am a design ambassador, a vice president of our graphic design student organization, and a student designer at NC State New Student Programs. Additionally, I was a Multicultural Student Association Scholar freshman year and have been on the Dean’s List every semester – successfully maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout my college career. Studying abroad has been a life-long dream and a major influence on my choice to attend NC State University. While abroad, I will not only have an opportunity to take studio InDesign courses, but I will also be able to participate in various excursions to different cities which will allow me to engage with various cultures firsthand rather than learning about them through books or other media sources.

Moreover, this study abroad experience will be the first time I have ever left the country. While I have been awarded a $1,500 scholarship towards my study abroad program, any contribution you make would greatly help me continue to further my education and maximize this experience. With your help, I plan on taking full advantage of all the opportunities available during my semester abroad.
