Watkins Grill Flood Assistance

Donation protected
On the night of August 19, 2018, a torrential downpour wreaked havoc on Watkins Grill in Raleigh, NC (open for business for 28 years).  The "Grill" as all the locals call it, was overtaken by almost three feet of muddy water from a part of Crabtree Creek.   Items ruined by this disastrous flooding were: refrigeration, the AC unit, hot water heater, and food supply among other miscellaneous items that are needed to efficiently operate. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the devastation because it was natural flooding.

Just two weeks ago, the City of Raleigh had a water main break that caused the Grill to flood. Just after recovering from that, this happened and now the Grill may need to shut it's doors for good if we can't raise enough money to keep this landmark open.

The Staff at Watkins grill have contributed greatly to the community in which they live by holding fundraisers, helping the homeless, and giving jobs to people in desperate times even when they didn't really have a position to fill. They've helped people in need and now they are the ones that need help. This family will be without pay for as long as it takes to replace damaged equipment and get back up and running again.

Please help Watkins Grill continue to serve delicious breakfast and daily lunch specials to the customers they love by donating to the cause and sharing this with your friends and family. Every dollar donated will go towards new equipment  and lost wages.

Thank you for supporting a local Raleigh business!
