Waterway Rescue-Help Keep Our Texas Waterways Litter Free

My name is Perry Panousis and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in a mission that’s close to my heart — protecting and preserving our Texas waterways. I’ve seen firsthand the growing amount of trash, oil, and harmful pollution flowing into our storm drains and eventually ending up in our creeks, rivers, and oceans. This pollution doesn’t just hurt wildlife — it affects our health, our environment, and our community’s future.

That’s why I’m raising funds to build and install custom gate systems called the (Gate-Or) that help trap trash and hydrocarbons before they reach our open waters. These gates are an extremely effective way to stop pollution at the source. They can catch everything from plastic bottles and food wrappers, to motor oil and grease — pollutants that threaten fish, birds, and marine life.

These gates are the first of their kind, designed to absorb trash and hydrocarbons using a specialized fabric material aswell as being built with “sink and float” technology depending on the water level.

This project is more than just cleanup. It’s about creating lasting infrastructure that gives our waterways a fighting chance. But I can’t do it alone. Your donation will help cover:
