I prefer to be independent and take care of myself. That said, I am taking a big step out of my little self-reliant comfort zone to ask my community for support.
Here is my story: In 1991 I had a traumatic brain injury and some damage to my spine due to domestic violence. It was one of the most transforming experiences of my life. I am grateful for it all, because if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be doing the work that I do and I wouldn't have had all those questions like "Why me?" and "Do I matter?" and "What is all of this for?" It gave me a spirit of a seeker. _/\_
It also had a residual outcome throughout the years of many visits to people in white coats. Although I used to talk about it, I no longer like to speak about pain or give it any of my energy. Some of you know this, but most do not - but I have experienced pain on a daily basis for a lot of my life, particularly over the last 8 years when my spinal misalignment and deterioration has let me know that I must be very thankful for every step I can still take. There was a shift that happened summer of 2020, and this pain has significantly interfered with me from engaging in even the basic self care such as walking or showering for about 2 hours in the morning until my TENS unit and a fancy-dancy anti-inflammatory pill blesses me with a little bodily stability. After that, I can manage, although the pain doesn't ever leave me. He hangs around like an old friend to remind me that although I have many magical qualities and powers, I am still in this limited body. It keeps me humble and grounded. Something to be grateful for.
Regardless of this, I focus only on healing and I request that others speak of my healing. There is a certain energy in giving attention to what you want, rather than what you don't want.
My latest physician wants to do a particular surgery that is not very appealing to me. I have AHCCCS and it will be covered. However, there is an alternative treatment that is WAY less invasive and the success rate is WAY higher. It is not covered by Medicaid. I fully believe that the treatment that will be the best option for me at this time. It costs about $2700. Go Fund Me takes 2.9%*. + $0.30 per donation, so I am asking for less than I need because I have saved a little for it so far and TIME is important for this and I am wanting to get the treatment as soon as possible.
Much gratitude for anyone who can contribute to this for me. <3
