Three Steps Forward

Over the last five years, every year on my birthday I create a fundraiser through UNICEF and other charities in need so that my friends and family can donate to people who are more in need than I am.  For this year I thought about started an organization called “3 steps forward”. I was born and raised in Dakar senegal and I’ve seen a lot of different struggles that people go through daily.  I started this organization for  3 main reasons which are: provide villages in clothes and shoes,  school materials for the children, and water resources for them so they won’t have to walk miles away on the hot sun to get water. I gathered a 10 of my friends to help join me and help out. Five of them are based here in the US and the other five are in Senegal.  With the help of my team we started this online fundraiser to raised money for the cause and we also asked people to donate clean clothes.  We recently found out about the situation and struggles that the albinos fo through daily in Senegal. We recently that the kids burn from the hot sun, they get infections from wounds, and recently majorty of a specific villages all died due to skin cancer and from not being able to protect themselves from the sun.  I have gotten in contact with the president of the albinos and my team and I are currently working with him to make sure that we provide them with all the supplies that they need for the safety and  protection of these families and children. So far with the money that we got we were able to purchase as much supplies as we can for them so it could get to them by the time my team and i arrive in Senegal. We are asking for help and any help and support whether it’s by donation clothes, shoes, money, or even telling your friends and family about this cause. Whichever way you feel comfortable supporting us we will be forever grateful for it. Thank you!
