Water project in Kianjavato, Madagascar

Donation protected

I am working with Engineers without Borders to improve the accessibility and quality of water in the village Kianjavato in Madagascar. Before EWB went over, the village was getting its water from the river, which is infested with all sorts of different bacteria. Last year, when we went over, we put water filters into schools, so that the kids could clean the water before they drank it. This year, our goal is to reduce the dependence on the river as a source for water. To do that, we will begin to fix the spring fed tap system that the village has, which has fallen into disrepair.

As you can imagine, it is not cheap to get to Madagascar. We will be there for three weeks in June, but all of the participants pay their own way. That is why I am fundraising. All of the money will go towards my trip to Madagascar, and any extra will go toward the materials we need while we are down there.
